Happy birthday Halle....

Halle Loved having everyone singin to her and trying to sing along. She doesn't know the words but she sure belted out her own version! hahaha we all loved watchin her sing to herself and get so excited!

Halle's Birthday Dance party!!!

Halle's Birthday started off with her daddy surprising her with yummy breakfast and a huge balloon which she absolutely loved! He's so great with her she's so lucky to have such a great daddy he made her feel so special today!

Halle enjoyed opening every present this year and was looking for more... her cousin Ava had her birthday party a few days later and she kept wanting to open up all her presents.. Christmas will be fun this year!

Halle got spoiled from all her family and cousins.... she got dora books, puzzles, clothes, little people set, princess jewelry phone purse and money, a table and chairs set and a her first little bike.

The boys got bored with the party and headed to the back room to start playin with legos instead haha.. typical boys right :)

Happy 2nd Birthday Miss Halle J!

November 11th Halle J shaw turns the big 2 years old. Seriously I can't believe it! Where does time go? I remember being pregnant with her just yesterday now she's two and I have another 4 month old boy haha.. This was halle last year on her birthday.... now tomorrow we'll do it all over again for round 2!

Anyone that knows halle can say she is one funny girl full of a lot of personality. She's my little sugar and spice girl. So sweet, listens well, makes you feel like a million bucks, has the cutest best contagous laugh ever then in one second bam she's all fired up and lets you know. haha.. She reminds me of the sour patch commercial haha...
Halle repeats everything you say and comes up with many extra words in her own language that no one understands. She dances sooooo crazy and always has since she was little. She's not a great eater but every one in awhile she'll eat more in one day than she will in a whole week. She's my liquid girl (which has made potty training sooo difficult) seriously if we'd let her she'd just drink and drink all day long. She doesn't eat a lot of sweet and usually tells you know when you offer them to her with the exception of fruit snacks :) she loves those. But she LOVES fruit and can pound them in just like her daddy and has ever since she was little. She's a big time daddy's girl and loves it when he comes home and plays with her during lunch time and after work. Loves cheese and chicken nuggets and any kind of dippy she can get her hands on :) . Loves track #6 on the hannah montanna movie cd. I can always turn it on and make her happy while in the car. Loves her cousins and grandparents I can bribe her and she'll be soo good if she gets to go see them:) haha The list could go on and on all about our sweet little girl, but what matters most is that we love her so much and wouldn't trade our little drama queen for anything! She's been such a joy in our family and makes our life soooo much more fun and interesting haha.. I hope you have a wonderful birthday Halle you deserve it ...We love you so much!!!

SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE TOUR!!!

This was the best weekend ever. I still can't get over how much I loved loved this concert! Nate's cousin's cousin is Randi from so you think you dance. We were so excited and proud of her for making it last season and watched the whole thing so when I found out the top ten were coming to salt lake I got tickets immediately. Nate bailed out on me last minute so I invited my mom to join me. We had so much fun shoppin eatin yummy food and last but not least watchin the concert saturday night on the floor 9 rows back it was soooooo awesome. Oh how I wish I could dance or have any of their rockin bodies haha.. Gettin ready for the big show..
Kade got to join us on our girls weekend and he was so great. Serioulsy I couldn't ask for a better baby you hardly even know he's even there he just makes things that much more fun :)

Nate's client who's a good friend invited us to go golfin with he and his wife @ the ledges. I was a little hesitant @ first since I have no idea how to really golf. This is my second time really golfing and I loved it. I definitely can see how it can be so addicting when you're actually doing ok.. if you have a horrible game I can see how I could get easily frusterated haha.. I only did 9 holes and that was enough for me. I had to do twice the amount of running around though haha so I was beat after the first 9. Thanks mom for giving us a break to be togethe and go golfin. We had tons of fun

Halloween...

We look sick I know... haha seriously we were running last minute to K-Mart to find costumes since the ones I ordered early trying to plan ahead didn't work out. So.... we look a little okay a lot interesting. But o well right it's Halloween. I'm a zombie bride kade is a little giraffe halle is a butterfly and Nate is a musketeer well kinda haha. Thanks again Jess and TJ for having your annual Halloween party. We always look forward to it and have a blast every time.
Halle's first time trick or treating. We went to my families house and grandma Cannon's house first to get her used to the idea. She was so excited once she realized she got to have yummy candy at each house. The difficult part was trying to keep her happy by not letting her eat every piece of candy she got. Thank goodness for the good people out there that got the bags of pretzels. They saved me and kept halle content :)

Following our trick or treating event we ended up in H town for a family party @ the Woodburry's house of course :) and had tons of fun hangin out with family, eating a lot more junk and dancing. This is Halle dancing. If there was a dance off contest, She definitely would've won. Seriously this girl danced for an hour straight.

I tried to be festive and make a fun Halloween dinner. It consisted of orange soda pumpkin meet bowls celery w/penut butter n bugs apples and carmel and yummy pumpkin choc. chip cookies.

Amber was so cute to put together a fun little Halloween party for all the little kids. They all dressed up had yummy food got lots of pictures taken and had fun playing together. Thanks so much Amber for making the effort to plan something fun for our kids to do for Halloween. (Especially when you only have a few weeks left of being pregnant.! YOURE CRAZY haha but we all loved it.) Halle had so much fun playin with all the other kids.

Every year it's tradition to carve pumpkins @ my families house after sunday dinner the week before and pose by our pumpkin as a family so my mom can get a picture . T.j's family always goes to great lengths to carve a masterpiece... ryan and kat try to do one just as good hahaha jk tana's family wasn't there this year thanks to the wonderful virus's goin around and as for our family were always too lazy to carve somethin cool so it's always ugly haha. this time we decided to do a creative face with nate carving one half and me carving the other. You can't tell in these pictures but it actually turned out kinda cool. ha we were so proud :D

Kade 3mo. and Halle 2 year old Photoshoot!!!

I took Kade and Halle in to the mall to get there pictures taken. It's for kades 3 mo. and Halle's 2 year old photos. We showed up on time kids both happy kade had just eaten.... we were ready... The lady tells us she's the only one there and they're running an hour and a half late. I was a little upset! When you have two little ones time is so precious. I only have a little window where they're gonna maybe cooperate and be happy. But there was nothin I could do .... SO I just decided to make the most of it. Got a yummy smoothie took halle to the machine toys let her use all my quarters... walked around the stores... changed a blow out (thank you kade) and then checked back in ! They were ready for us and my kids were surprisingly still doing great! Thank you ! So we got through what was a great quick and easy photo session (seriously I don't know how or why but I got soooo lucky) and we were able to get some cute ones!

birthdays..halle n kade happenings...fam vacation up north!

So our family loves heading up north! Especially to escape our hot summers and enjoy a nice early fall up there and see the leaves change. We love to go on picnics in the park and up in the canyon! So that's excactly what we did.... we enjoyed a fun few days in great "sweater" weather and had fun spending time with our cousins. Nate got to have a boys day and go golfin with his cousins and Talia and I had a girl day going to the 11:00 am movie haha.. love actually and then grabbed lunch and had a little shoppin time! Together we went shopping up in park city and had fun walkin around. Kade is a great little traveler I couldn't have been more pleased. He even slept through the nights from 8:00 til 6:00! Which is not always the case here @ home. Halle on the other hand had a little more difficult time... those dang 2 year old molers and well just the plain fact that she's almost two a girl and learning how to share... not hit or pull hair ... we had some drama moments haha...oh and many long days havin our fun and her not getting or wanting to take naps... sure you can imagine our fun days up north haha... but we survived and enjoyed a great break with nate! We don't get to spend a lot of time with him and every spare minute he's usually hunting these days... so we loved spending all day every day with each other. Nate and I both agree that we need to find a money tree somewhere so we can retire NOW. awwwww wouldn't that be nice! Kade @ 3 months
We got home from our vacation sunday afternoon just in time to hear the last few talks of conference and eat our traditional sunday dinner @ my families house! Love not having to cook and getting to eat a yummy meal :) Thanks mom!

Halle's Milestones...

Halle: "UH OH" Me: Uh Oh! Is THE BINKY IS BROKEN? Halle: Ya! Me: Well if it's broken we should probably throw it away. Halle: Ya!... And that was the end of our long binky days :) sheesh if I knew it'd be that easy I would've done this much sooner! She's asked for it a few times but hasn't gotten sad about it cause she knows it was broken and she's the one who decided to throw it away :)!

Big Girl Bed.... Got it all ready put her in it for a nap... go to walk out and then came the drama. she crawled right back out and cried til we put her back into her crib! Ha Ha o well first attempt wasn't so great we'll give it another try some other day. We want it to be a fun thing for her not a traumatizing experience!

some much needeed Vitamin D! Family night...

We decided we'd get out of the house and get some dinner and head to the park for a picnic and a little family fun! We'd been cooped up all week and were ready for an outing. Plus isn't Vitamin D a great thing to help you get feelin better?
Just "trying" to get kade to eat. At this point he still wouldn't eat from me....or a bottle. It was so sad.

Sick Sick Sick.....

These last weeks haven't been so fun! It started off with really high fevers for kade and him not wanting to eat! And of course this occurs on the weekend when the Doctors office's are closed. After a few days they admitted us into the ER for many tests. Kade had to get a catheder for urine samples ... for testing... blood drawn... a chest X Ray and a nasal swab! We were in the hospital all morning and afternoon for this process all to tell us he's fine and to go home. They told me if he persisted to have a high fever that I had to bring him back into the ER the next morning. It continued of course, but I didn't want to pay even more again so we waited til monday to take him to Doctor Thompson. He was concerned as well so he sent us over for more testing... the same routine... more blood more nasal suction ... poor kade he went through so much and was such a little trooper. All n all in the end every test came out negative and his high fevers dropped and he started eating again just in time for Halle to get sick with a cold and pass it on to him. :) Arent I one lucky mom or what ? haha So were still dealing with runny and stuffty noses... and not very great sleep! I'm ready for happy healthy kids and a fun vacation! :)

Dear Nate: I know you love your " Man time" and you love to "Get Away" and you "LOVE the Mountains" but WE MISS YOU! You've been gone too many days and too many weekends! Your wife needs another adult around to help her stay sane.. and someone to talk to and snuggle with at the end of her long days... and as for your kids... THEY NEED YOU TOO :) Halle needs her daddy to give her lots of attention and to be her jungle gym and Kade needs his nightly cuddle time to give mom a break :) ..... Hope you enjoyed your Hunting experience cause today is your LAST DAY wa-hoo!!!

Labor Day weekend!

Started out Thursday night getting invited over to my brother Tj's house to have a yummy dinner with his family and my cousin Alissa who's now living down here and in the Dental heigene program... Brielle a.k.a. Kades second mommy... :) ha She always wants to hold "baaby kade"

Next we spent friday celebrating my brother Ryans 33rd Birthday!

We spent the day swimming...ate his favorite meal...homemade chicken nuggets n twice baked potatoes and ended off the night w/ presents and of course his fav. dessert strawberry shortcake... his helping could've fed 4 of us ha ha

Then...... Saturday we spent the day in Hurricane at Peach Days ... a fun tradition we like to do w/ nate's family! I love looking at all the boothes but the thing we all enjoy the most are the homemade Navajo tacos ... Thanks to the ward in Laverakin. ha...! Then of course our Saturday night consisted of ordering pizza and watching our very own BYU kick some trash woo! woo!.... fun night:)

Labor Day Weekend...pine valley!

After church on sunday we all headed up to Pine Valley to escape the heat and enjoy a yummy dutch oven dinner! Me and my sweet hubby:)
Kade us attached to me 24-7... what can I say he's a mommas boy! Most of the time I don't mind it cause it's the only way I get things done ha ha but trying to push Halle in the old tire swing w/ Kade wasn't too Safe She was a little nervous can ya tell?

So of course in comes daddy to save the day.... much better experience!

So I really hate when this time of year comes around......HUNTING SEASON!!! As much as my hubby claims he's a hunter .... he really just enjoys being out in the mountaains w/ the guys and taking a break from work and life. He very much deserves a big break but I have to admit week after week of him being gone were more than ready for the bow hunt to be over this friday and have our daddy home again! We miss you Nate and hope that this weekend is your lucky weekend to get something and call it good! Two weeks in a row my brother Ryan and Nate left me and Kat. And since weboth hate being alone we got together @ my house and had sleepovers! Johnathan and Halle were so cute playing together! Halle loved having a constant friend around to play with!

Halle has been denying letting us brush her teethe lately it's always "by herself" She's pretty independent that way but tonight nate got her to let him help her by doing this haha... she was loving brushing his teethe or face or chin haha!

Look how big he's getting! Seriously I don't know if he's extremely chunky for his age or if it's normal but at his 6 week apt. he weighs 11lbs that seems like a lot cause Halle though she started of weighing 5lbs... weighed this @ like 4 mo... haha... so were loving this rolly polly little boy it's been so fun I love chubby babies :)
